America's four biggest sports are on the hotseat...

- Bond's steroid usage and the moral question of the Commish trying to decide whether to stop him from his historic record breaking

- Vick and drowning dogs

- NBA refs tryin to get them dolla$$

- NASCAR still not being  a real sport

add this to the already huge finding yesterday that Astana team leader, Alexandre Vinokourov, had a blood transfusion and we have got ourselves in a pickle.

is this the forthcoming of the apocalypse? i heard a volcano in hawaii erupted today, and that drew carey has been decided on as the new Price is Right host... i am going to go ahead and spend all my money, because in about a week we'll all be dead.

I like Nascar, but I see why many people don't like it. There was actually some controversy this past week. a Craftsman Truck League Driver got suspended for cocaine, and their drug policy is under attack- basically because they don't test for drugs.

Why do many people not like it?

Stereotypes. Uninterested in racing in general. Uninterested in oval racing.

The usual.

I used to not really care for it, but I gave it a try because this dead time just kills me. It turns out I kinda liked it.

I can't ever watch a race. They're so damn boring. One in person might be interesting. People flock to that @#%$.

Supposedly it's 3 days of wild redneck partying, then drinking some more at the race, which deafens people. I'm not sure I could handle 200,000 rednecks in the hot summer in Alabama.

Most people don't like it because it's not a sport.  It's about as boring to watch as golf and bowling, to boot.

Moreover- it is still the only sport (that I'm aware of) that you can lose your advantage because of something completely irrelevant behind you, IE. a wreck.  if I'm up half a lap on #2 and there is a wreck between #30 and 31, WTF.  That crap ain't right.

Also-the whole teams thing is pretty ghey. my third string budweiser car gets in a wreck because Dale is in 2nd place, 30 car lengths behind.  Oh look...now he is only one car length behind!  This does not make any sense to me.

And last but not least...if you are going to have a wreck and start all over with five laps to go, why not just shorten the race to five laps and call it a day?

pointless.

define "sport"

There must be a ball involved and all four appendages are incorporated.  That's right... soccer's not a sport.

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

You realize that wasn't all done at once right?  The various camera angles and positions would have made about ten cameras visible from each position.  LOL at the guy stopping his watch like he just made a good time or something.

Out of the above seven 'sports,'  I find that there is a major oddball out of the group, some refer to as GOLF.  Every other sport up there has some form of defense and direct interaction with the ball in play.  GOLF does not.  Golf should be listed right above NASCAR as a sport.

Many extensive studies have been done and researchers have found that people who don't like golf are usually flaming homosexuals infected with numerous STD's. Just sayin'.

lol at you not knowing what you are talking about. the dude made it up a 400ft tall 5.7 cliff in a little over 4 minutes. that is one climb, there is no way to fake it. there was some editing, like when he went for his dyno jump the first time he actually missed it, and slipped down to his take-off holds. it says that in the credits. you have got to be joking with that comment. that dude is a legend.

LOL at him getting to the top and stopping his watch.  I am going to go and make a video like this with me making it in 24 seconds and soak up all the rube praise.

EDIT:  Reminds me of this show my wife watches called "Laguna Beach".  She thinks t's real and I had to explain to her that is saddened me that she thought that.
