In 1986, when the first black sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha, was set up, a cross was burned on the lawn outside its building. When Minda Riley, an independent, stood for student president in 1993, she was attacked at night by a knife-wielding masked man. A cross was burned in her garden. and she was sent a note reminding her: "Machine rules, bitch."

wow.

I fear for Josh Freeman's life when he goes to Auburn.

 :ohno:

We should contact BET and see if they'll pony up for some extra security.

But Josh is the only one that will beat their team, rape their women and ride off on their horses.

    AAAAAHHHHH AAAAHHH
In all seriousness, I lived in AL a few different times outside of Montgomery, Bham and Tuscaloosa.  There is still slavery, nothing is changed from the days of old.  My coming to work in Greene County had to go through the local sherriff, who also ran all the drugs through the area.  The blacks make just enough to pay the landlord rent, get gas and groceries (at the A & P, they couldn't afford the food in the "real" grocery).  The whites own the businesses.  It's slavery of a different look that's all.  Oh, and Butlers a dickhead.

Dear Arthur,

Racism is rampant in the South.  You're much better off staying in Kansas where everyone is a hick farmer just like you.

Sincerely,
Your wide-eyed, rustic brethren

I heard Norman, OK and Tallahassee, FL are even worse.

Don't forget about multiple race riots in LA.

I've known Arthur since we were in 7th grade. I've played on 7-on-7 teams with him and Bryce over the years and theres always been the days when I'll g to Wichita to party with him or he'll come to my little farm town to go cow-tippin. As long as I've known him, he's been a k-state fan. I believe he would come to ksu, if they put effort into recruiting him.

You're on a cold streak, "chum1".

good stuff, chum.  Nobody here is denying we have hicks or racists in Kansas...we do.  But when was the last time you read about burning crosses on the KSU campus?  Ummm...never.  We don't hear the stories you see in the deep south.  Those types of people don't run everything up North.  But hey...you can just pretend we're being hypocritical for pointing it out...or something like that.  But I gotta go because I'm late for my Klan meeting because we Kansans are no less ignorant and fascist than Bamans..that it?

C'mon Chum..I know you pride yourself on being objective and are eager to point the finger inward but sometimes you reach a bit.

Gotcha now.  Your "Brown-out" thread ended up opposite of what you wanted though.

wow.
I stopped reading after I got to the "In 1986" part of the tale and decided that if I was going to experience a reach around today it wasn't going to be from "The Manhatter".

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

GREAT POST HATTER.

I AGREE 115%.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

The Bear often referenced black players on the Alabama team as "Indians".

Nothing funnier then watching the ESPN classic deal on the Bear wanting to play John McKay's USC teams so white power nation would finally figure out that having a few "indians" on the team would be a good thing.
