This kid plays in a town about 15 miles north of mine and I've ran against him in track. Just wondering how you guys think he'll turn out. I personally don't think he's that tough and he doesn't have D-1 speed. I wish him the best, but I don't think he has it.

I guess we'll see.  Rivals has him at 3 stars, so he must be doing something right.

He's playin 3A ball in south central KS. These are the kids I run against in track. He's not playin against anyone on the D-1 level.

NO I'm just a kid in high school whos seen him play and ran against him in track. Hes a hell of a football player I'm not gonna take that away from him, I just don't think he has what it takes to play D-1. I maybe wrong but I dont see it happening

Assuming he ends up signing his loi with KSU, he'll have a full year from now to improve on his downfalls.  That's why Prince and Co. does scouting, not just offering.  Potential and intangibles my friend, potential and intangibles.

thanks for the input....but we have heard this before.  Whether it was Terence Newman or Jordy Nelson...none of them can play D1 per somebody who played against them in high school.

I had someone tell me the Tuman kid from Liberal would never make it in D1...then he went to Michigan and started 3 years and is in his 8th or 9th season now in the NFL.

Jordy ran 11.1 as a junior.  Dold ran 11.2 as a soph...I don't care what he did on a rain soaked track this year.  He won the state as a soph in the long jump (athlete).  He looks smooth on film.  No offense but I've seen these lines before...some are accurate and some are not.  But the main thing is Ron Prince & Co. have seen thousands of kids like this for years...you are just a kid who may, I stress MAY, be doing some sour grapes.

You're entitled to your opinion and you've seen him more then probably any of us.  That said the film of him I've seen is impressive.  He doesn't have blazing speed but he's more then likely going to play strong safety at the college leve and he's got more then enough speed for that.  I could even see him bulking up and playing some LB as well and obviously he's fast enough for that.  The one question I'd have for you if you've stood next to him is if he is a legit 6'1"?
