CF0102, what do you think of Buddy's master plan coming out of the break in regards to pitching matchups?  I like that he held Meche until Saturday to face Sabathia and Bannister lines up Monday night vs. Boston.  Really gives KC their best possible chances of competing out of the break IMO.  If KC can take 6 out of their next 13 I would consider that a good record coming out of the break, considering their next four series are Cle., Bos., Det. and NYY.

I'm not the person to ask since I watched the Royals for the first couple of weeks of the season and when it became clear they were done in April I quit watching. I started watching again once the NBA playoffs ended to help me get to the start of football season.

What I do know is that it's going to be tough coming out of the break (at Cleveland, Boston and Detroit before they come home to play the Yankees) and if we can survive it there might be some good things to look forward to in the second half. I'd LOVE to add to the Yankees misery.

I'm really looking forward to 2008 when GMDM wants us at .500 and 2009 when he wants us competing for a playoff spot.

:hope:

tough loss last night considering the 1 run rally in the ninth.  If that is the best they are going to get out of Odalis Perez when Westbrook was struggling for the Tribe, then that is a position they are in need of upgrade.  Such is the story of the Royals.

But Meche is pitching a gem through 5 tonight, hopefully the Royals can finish this one off.

Down to the wire, followed it on MLB.Com "Gameday.  Cool way to follow a game if you are unable to watch it, and are stuck at work.

Soria and Dotel are shaping up really nicely.  Been a long time since a Royals fan could feel confident going into the 8th and 9th up by one.  I hope Moore holds on to Dotel, could be key in chasing down that elusive 70 win mark.
