I helped you by deleting my post so you wouldn't be embarrassed.  That was not Pissclams Grade A Material.   Try harder.

This reminds me of how our Father's left England so they could have freedom of religion.  Now, politics/religion go hand in hand in this country, too (which is just plain stupid).  Same concept happening here.

Actually, I don't give a crap about this debate.  I might even sign up for premium.  Sue me.

Whiner alert.  That is totally yesterdays news.

If you don't like how mj runs ksufans, then go elsewhere.  These are still the best ksu boards out there, by far.  "Whaaa, MJ ruined this site by creating premium!  Come to this other site instead! (which also has premium.)"

Yeah, that makes a lot of sense.

ooops or should i say 'ops' there goes your plot.

She actually got comped as is the same for J-Mart, Fatty, J-Von and hopefully Chum.  Kind of tough to ask them to pay, when they are supplying the remaining product that was not obtained second hand from the competition.

As for me, I've decided not to buy the premium.  I would have gladly made the donation if it got me a shirt/discount on merch or something else in lameness.  I do disagree wholeheartedly in segregating posts for profit.  From what I've read, this site was created to allow everybody to exchange ideas.  Now, some want to turn it into the very thing it was supposed to be against.  I also think the methods used in censoring Fatty were @#%$ty at best.  If things are not the same (as promised by the admins) I think you are going to see a lot of folks leaving and it's a damned shame because we (k-state fans) had a pretty good thing going.  And with a little forethought, much of this could have been avoided.

Where did you get your information that J-Mart, Fatty, J-Von and Chum got comped?

How does this non-sense start?

Are you saying that Mom B Easy paid you full price for her membership?

I still say you could have very easily told folks that you wanted reimbursement for your time and effort.  I agree that there was value and it would not have been out of line to ask for assistance.  If approached in that manner, many would have given.  But on this site, the product is the board and you have taken that away in the opinion of many.  While that may not be my personal opinion, the damage is done for some.

Yes she did.

And you're right, the product is the board, but since it's been started, I've seen no change in the board or it's use so I'm not sure that opinion of damage holds up to the facts.   The Premium Membership is a way to help pay the cost and will allow us to move the board and the website into a better product

BTW:  MOMBEASY was #6 to sign up.

Good post Jester.

I doubt certain people pay for the premium nonsense here sense most the info is from rivals.   It would be stupid. We know momabeas doesn't.

Nice attempt by Mj to spin.

Yeah, that makes a lot of sense.

Thanks for the insult, as always you add a lot.

My point is simple, you could have made money and not alienated the people that make this board what it is.  I absolutely do not want people to leave, and I think with a different approach the admins could have strengthened the posters alligiance to this site and made it worth their time.  Now, a lot of people might view this as being too similar to the other for profit K-State sites.  I do hope that the negative impact is minute, but as we've seen on these boards since the announcement, it could go either way.

I have done the research.  Donations do not work unless there are other forms of income.   We did the ads you see on the site, but unless everyone clicked 5 ads a day that came here, it wouldn't be enough to do what we're planning, not to mention, I can't ask people to do that because Google would end the account.   So for that couple of bucks a day I do get from clicks, it's a nice thing, like buying more memory, or another hard drive for the server..etc.. but it won't be enough and consistent to pay the bills.

This will work if given the chance.

So you googled him.. Don't you hate it that internet search engines are becoming so popular that they've turned into verbs as well? You never hear about someone "dictionarying" anything. What gives?
