One of the most enjoyable games I've road tripped to, despite being in OK.

Those Okies were all fired up on Homecoming after getting up big on us...until George Williams of all people started tearing it up.

George Williams and Joe Hall save the day!

HA HA!  I remember watching that game when K-State was down 21-0, and the TV announcer boldly proclaims "And the route is on!".  Little did he know the router would become the routee.  I was on a trip to Texas at the time and not near the hotel, so I went into a Target store with my K-State shirt on and hung around the electronics section for three hours watching this game.  Good times.

The wife and I were at that game.  The OSU fans gave up shortly after halftime and strated leaving muttering "poke Choke!". :violin:

They were just shocked during that second quarter.  Since it was homecoming they had a lot of the fans that only make it to one game a year, and they couldn't take it.

Man, the stadium was horrid back then as well.  Made the erector set metal bleachers in Manhattan look plush.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

That was a weird season. We had two of the biggest comebacks in history, both on the road. The game in Ames was shocking, trailing big to a bad ISU team and then the Adam Helm led comeback. I was in Ames that day (it was as hot that day as it was cold in 2003) and would rate that as one of my favorite KSU games all time. The OSU game was a slow starting early game as I recall. OSU had some talent and a pretty highly rated defense going into that game. Beasley may have had his best game ever that day.

    Hey, basketball!!!
Good god was OSU's secondary awful that year.

Aaron, Quincy, & George Williams all TD's in that game.

LOL, GEORGE WILLIAMS had a career game vs. OSU that day. After that, never heard from again.  :peek:

Also took Jonathan a whole quarter to realize how bad that secondary actually was.

George Williams was a big play guy, just like Gavin Peries (spelling?) the year before. George goes to that KSU one year semi wonder list along with- David Damon (could of been a total stud) Cephus Scott (Grades?)D. Evans (weed) and others. Seems like Jonathon had something crazy like 4 passing and 2 rushing td's in that game?
