I don't hate Rosie at all. She's entitled to her opinion. She is crass, brash, egotistical, and amazingly ignorant.
However, Rosie does a lot of charity work. She has raised awareness for children's issues. She leads the fight for rights of the gay community. When 911 happened, she donated $1 million to the families, and challenged other celebrities to do so. To this day, no other celebrity has donated to the 911 fund she set up. For Hurricane Katrina, she also donated $1 million and again, tried to get other celebrities to do so. She's given money to poor, helped numerous single moms get funds and support they need to raise their families, helped in getting poor kids immunized and fed.
Whether you like Rosie or not because of her political beliefs is shallow. The woman has her faults. She uses those faults sometimes to do great things. I wish she'd find better ways to do it, but considering she is successful AND is philanthropic especially when she doesn't think twice about giving money says a lot. After all, her actions say a lot more about her than her mouth.
As far as the Kat Kid "Well if you hate Rosie, why don't you hate O'Reilly, Limbaugh, Hannity" you have to realize these people, like Rosie, use their words to make their living. In return, they also contribute to the community, to raise awareness. Rush Limbaugh for Lymphoma, sending care packages to soldier's in Iraq, and helping with Sean Hannity's program of raising money for scholarships for children of fallen soldiers. Rush does several charitable events each year, and donates over a million a year to various other charities. Hannity is the same as well as other radio and TV personalities of conservatives.
So while people want to learn to hate people because of their comments, and what they do, they must also understand what the others do in their time. Fatty likes Rosie because she hates Bush and the Iraq war, not because she can also be a good human being. Sad, really.
