There aren't any good games for it (besides Zelda and the tons of Mario lines), and there aren't going to be any for some time.

Safe your money and get a PS3.  Completely worth it.

PS3 sucks. You may as well get a Wii and a 360 for the price of the PS3. The 360 has great media extender capabilities and already has a large plate of great games. September will be nice to 360 owners (UT3, Halo 3, TF2, etc.).

Why would I pay $600 for a console with no games? I've played Resistance and Tekken 5- the only exclusive games on the PS3 worth a damn. That my friend is a rip off. I'm glad you feel you got your money's worth.   :ku:

PC is still better, and a better value.

It's hard to say a better value, it depends what you use it for. Nonetheless, I love PC gaming. It's a shame that it's been so slow. Crysis will be the greatest game ever, though.

Better value meaning you can do more with it for the money.  With consoles you can play games and watch DVD's.  PC's allow you to do pretty much anything.

I know what you're saying, but I was saying it really depends if the individual would use all the capabilities. The 360 really takes care of all media related things. Just no productivity and web surfing- which I'm fine with. I have 3 computers for that.

the Wii is a great party console imo.  Whenever I have people over, we are almost always downstairs, playing Wii Sports.

It is also really great if you are trying to break a girlfriend into gaming.  It's an easy transition since she doesn't really feel like she is playing a game, since it is very life like.

Just what I have seen anyways.  It makes the sports games very competitive, even with someone who has never played videogames before.

All that said, PC>consoles for gamers.

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Not once have I ever claimed I wasn't  :D

On the other hand, this coming from a guy that was storing half a terabyte of ksu videos and creates videos all day everyday.  That doesn't exactly make you less of a nerd.  :loly:

Willie doesn't know what he's talking about.

The PS3 is great but its not worth its asking price.  http://cooltech.iafrica.com/technews/969088.htm

I played the Wii a bit more this evening. My original statement remains my firm opinion- Wii sports is great, but any other game just sucks. Mario party? More like the worst Japanese board game on earth. Sonic was alright. I have yet to see any game on that with an ounce of depth.

Yeah dude, I think you missed the point. $250 is a little much for one game. Not to mention that one game is just a bunch of mini games. If you want to have any fun at all, you'll need more controllers because it doesn't allow online play. Those are, what, $60 each?? F that noise.

If you're going to buy a PS3 wait a bit, a price cut is coming soon.
