After the revelation that JW has the upper body strength of a 12-year-old girl, it would probably be a good idea for one of you to check on the ego of David Hoskins.

It's the lies that hurt the most Salty, the lies...

low bbiq?  Yaeh, by this boards logic thomas clayton was by far the best running we had at k-state.  he can prolly bench over 400 lbs, but if your a natural talent then it doesnt make much of a difference. upper body strenght is also a lot more necessary for a RB than a BB player. that said im not a ku fan, in fact i hate ku. but if you are saying wright has no nba potential then you my friend are the one with very low bbiq :bootyshake:

Julian is gone, we are suppose to be talking him up people.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Continue to dismiss the fact that Durant has far more talent that Wright, included in that is the ability to play and defend the perimeter.

No.

"JuJu alone gave ku 10 wins last year" - better for the offseason, imo.

Even ku fans know he wasn't that good.  They're worried about their girlie players, tho.

Let me get this straight.  You think that Julian Wright is a top NBA draft pick?  A lottery pick at that?  And you, The Dickless Bong, and The Unmanly Prancer call us delusional because we think we will have a good team next year!  Wright won’t be picked in the top 12 picks.  Period.  Write it down.  He will be lucky to be a first round pick, and only then because the talent drops off pretty fast after about #15.  Wait and see and then you can apologize to all of us low BBIQs...

I have no idea where he'll go in the draft.  I know in the pre-truth world (the one where he was 6'8" and 225) he was slotted as a late lottery pick.

I doubt him taking strength and conditioning seriously over the past two years would have helped him any in the NBA.

I am no longer a Cincinnati Bearcat fan, but at any rate let me draw a former Bearcat into the big picture for a comparison to your Mr. Wright.  Jason Maxiell was drafted in 2005 by Detroit in the first round.  He actually turned out to be a pretty good pick as he has contributed very nicely for a bench player in his two years.  But let’s look at the stats.

They both play the same position -- power forward.  Maxiell was a four year, highly experienced player.  Wright is a freshman.  Maxiell is stronger than an ox, weighs 250 lbs, can bench press over 400 lbs, and is a true 6’ 7”.  Wright weighs 210 lbs, is actually 6’ 6½”, and being barely able to lift 190 lbs is as weak as a schoolgirl.  Maxiell averaged 15.3 points per game, 7.9 rebounds per game, 2.7 blocks per game, and was widely noted for his defensive prowess.  Wright averaged 12.0 ppg, 7.8 rpg, 1.3 bpg, and has never been considered a defensive stopper.  Maxiell was always regarded as having a great work ethic.  Wright showed up for practice.  Neither are regarded for their outside shot nor their ability to handle the ball that well.  Maxiell was drafted #26.  And now you are telling me that the NBA, in their infinite wisdom, are going to make Wright a #12 pick?

Where do you get your drugs because I want some too...

Julian Wright is Tayshaun Prince without the 3-point range.  He'll be a very good pro.

snart, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

First off, Julian was a freshman two years ago. Second, you really do know nothing about the NBA. They draft on talent and potential. Not accomplishments. Basically what you are saying is that anyone who has averaged less than Maxiell or didn't work as hard can't be drafted higher than 26.

Look, you're wrong. You know it, I know it, everyone on this board knows it. If you're so sure you're right you can bet me. If Julian is drafted lower than 12, I will never post on this board again. If he's drafted 12th or higher, you never post on this board again, and find some other bandwagon to jump on. I expect you to take the bet as you seemed extremely confident before.

Julian Wright was recently measured at a pre-draft camp.

Julian Wright:

Ht (w/o shoes)      6'6 1/2"
Ht (w/ shoes)        6'8 1/2"
Wt                       211
185 bench press     2 reps  (2?? LMAO!!  )
Vertical (max)        33 1/2"  (again, 33.5? LMAO!!  )

Source- http://insider.espn.go.com/espn/blog/index?name=ford_chad

Premeditated deception on the part of Bill Self's staff-
http://kuathletics.cstv.com/sports/m-baskbl/mtt/kan-m-baskbl-mtt.html

Ht 6'8   :blindfold:
Wt 225

Why do they lie like this to the world?  Is it because they are "Jayhawks" and lying and cheating, and misdirection is inherent within them and their nature?

Dont you just wish you had a KSUCK player to watch at the pre-draft camp so you wouldnt have to obsess over our talent?

I repeat -- JuJU will be the best 6'6" 210 lb NBA power forward who can't bench 180lbs and who has no outside game at all.

Actually, he's Tayshaun Prince without the 3-point range, the 2-point range, and 3 inches (6'6" vs. 6'9"). hth.  He'll never make it as a pro.

Serious question for ku fan- is his lack of physical development more a reflection on JuJu or your strength and conditioning program?

I have this thread bookmarked, so expect to have it rubbed in your face.  And FYI the only thing I know of Kansas players is what I have read on these K-State boards.  I don’t follow ku, I don’t obsess over their players, and I don’t give a rat’s ass if they all choke and die, including you...

Who cares? Julian was a great player for us. Last time I checked they didn't decide who wins on what team can bench the most. This is basketball. Not football.
