It's a tremendous challenge here. I think it has the opportunity for the greatest turnaround in college football. It is not one to be taken lightly. ---------- Bill Snyder ( Nov 30th, 1988)

Oh well.  Sounds like we got a couple other players.  Not sure how good this Gilbert is but i guess we'll see.  Maybe we should just let B-Easy Walker and Sutton just take on the team were against by themselves

From the Star:

One player who recently said he was planning on coming to K-State was 6-7 forward Victor Dubovitsky, released from his scholarship to Texas A&M after coach Billy Gillispie left for Kentucky.

“He’s leaning toward (K-State),” said Greg Heiar, Dubovitsky’s coach last season at Chipola Junior College in Florida. “He still needs to take some courses to graduate this summer, so everything is on hold.”

Will anyone from Chipola ever pan out for K-State?

On hold?  Is there still hope?  I thought he was Europe bound.  Can we wait over the summer?  Didn't he already have to sign?

Q  Jeff, Sorry, I'm a little out of the loop out here in Sacramento, but I didn't see any mention of the old Texas A&M recruit in the signing news. Is that because he's already signed or is there a problem? According to the accounts I read the Cats have one scholarship yet to give. If it hasn't already gone to the A&M recruit do you think it will go elsewhere?

A   The old Texas A&M recruit might not be out of the picture yet. Stay tuned, Richard. How's it going out there? You still going to be around the first week of July?

not me.  his act was getting old.  we're better off without him.
"these are no longer “games” in the commonly accepted sense of the term. these are free throw shooting contests leavened by the occasional sprint to the other end of the floor."

According to the article I read in the KC Star, he is still considering coming to KSU.  There are still some roadblocks and he has to work on academics through the summer, but it is not completely dead yet it doesn't sound like.
