I ended up with a 68.3%, and was hoping for a C.

Thats about exactly what I got.  I thought I had a C.  It was the only D I ever got in my 5 years at K-State.  It also made me venture over to Calvin and the wonderful world of MIS.

Honestly, MIS would probably have been a much better fit for me than CS, but since I survived, I don't think it'll matter much in the corporate world.

You guys need to realize there is a much bigger world than Kansas/Missouri/Nebraska/Iowa.. etc..

Lots more opportunities if you're willing to get out and about.

Trust me.

Phx is a dirty craphole, FWIW.

Weak.. even for you Rusty.

UPDATE:

The guy contacted me and said that their summer training class was full but that they would still be interested in me as a potential employee and re-applying for the January training class.

Is this just a polite way of saying eat crap and die?  Do they say this to everyone they turn down?  Should I go hang myself?   :'(

TIA

Nope.  Mother-in-law (phx native) says that.

And I'm right about phoenix.  I'd live just about anywhere in the country but there.

When we have several candidates we've interviewed it is generally a two step process to make the hiring decision.  First, does this person meet the minimum qualifications we are looking for.  If more people make it through that step than we need then its a ranking of who is the best.  Sounds like you made the first cut but they had other candidates that they liked better.  If you are really interested in this company then re-apply if you are still looking by then.
