Okay, I've been quietly reading these posts long enough. That last couple of comments gave me the drive to actually register and have some input.
That first touchdown was on a freak'n dime. Three inches to the left or the right and it would have either been picked off or pass interference. Sure, it was thrown into double coverage, but the receiver was in front of the coverage. In order to pick the ball off, they would have had to come over the top of him. Not a badly thrown ball. Find a replay and watch it again.
Not that I believe Meier should be the #1 starter, Webb, definitely proved to me that he wasn't last in line, Everidge is capable of playing in the Big 12, but I don't think he is a starter unless he improves drastically over last year. Honestly, I'm waiting to see how much Freeman matures. If he is the best QB at the start of Next season, there is no way we should red shirt him. The one thing Meier has going for him is his ability to read coverage and his accuracy. His decision making is not always up to snuff. That I'll gladly admit.
