They just said that UMKC had a better hire than we did.

Of course they did.

They're very smart at WHB, very smart.  High BBIQ's over at WHB, very high.

So when UMKC hires an assistant coach with no recruits, it's a good hire, but when we hire an assistant with the best recruits in the nation, it's a bad hire?  Call me confused.

Yeah, it makes a lot of sense, doesn't it?
They were basically saying that in 3 years, the recruits will be gone, and we are left with nothing again.
It doesn't seem to cross their mind that Martin could actually be good!

His resume is better than Frank Martin's.   Considering that KSU is a vastly superior job to UMKC, it's probably not the best sign that UMKC got a guy with a better resume.

Then the assumption is that Hill and Martin CURRENTLY have zippo for decent talent on their recruitment lists as we speak? or, that we won't sign any of them?

That's just as much of a gamble as saying Martin won pan out isn't it?

Dumbarses.
"You guys want answers that are conversations between John and I. I ain't worried about it. I'm living the dream.... When I start worrying about a contract, I'd be cheating the kids and not doing my job." - Frank Martin

First of all, I would think that the standards at UMKC aren't as high as they are at KSU.  Second, UMKC's hire coached with Billy Donovan and John Beilein for 10 years.  KSU's hire coached for a no name at Northeastern, two years with Huggy, and one year with Andy Kennedy.  He has 3 seasons of experience in high level basketball.

Book, you should stick to making your lousy points on Phog rather contributing to the ongoing dilution of quality posting here.

Are we gonna have a thread like this every time somebody says something bad about Frank Martin?  Because, if we are, then it's time for a premium board.

UMKC *should* make a better hire.  They have scoreboard over us by 40 points.  It's obviously a better program.

Minnesota made a better hire than Kentucky.

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

    The "other" KSU
At this point, I might not ever listen to WHB again. It seems that every other phrase out of thier mouthes is pimping the "810-Zone" bar/restaurant/espnzone ripoff place. KK has lost about 90% of the little credibility he had and the others are pukes. 610 is just a Jim Rome ripoff every hour on the hour. So that leaves us with 1350 am "The Game" hosted by Matt Walte... zzzzzzzz. Oh sorry, the very thought of that guy's voice makes me narcoleptic.

Where I live there are 2 or 3 sports stations and they have 24/7/365 NU football.  They sound something like this:

Guy1:  You know Sam Keller has some kind of rocket lazer arm and I think he is a legit 4.1 40 guy.
Guy2:  I have to disagree with you there, he looks like he will probabley run in the 4.0 range.
Guy1:  You ever dream about having sex with Bill Callahan?
Guy2:  F***ing A right I do!
Guy1:  Awesome, me too.  You know who I hate?
Guy2:  Who
Guy1:  Kansas State and fans who don't really get into being a Husker fan.
Guy2:  Yeah, tell me about it, I saw a car that WASN'T red the other day and had a KSU license plate.  So, you know what comes next, I spit my Copenhagen on his windshield and keyed the word F** into his paint job.
Guy1:  Alright!

EDIT:  So, yeah, I listen to a lot of NPR.
