Allright, I'm in the market for a new gaming system and I'm really leaning towards the Wii.  I know, I know... get the X-Box 360 or the PS3 and I want to but for the most part my all night gaming bender days are gone forever, now I'm looking for a system the whole family can play.

I'm just looking for Wii users input on this.  Do you like it, do you love it, glad you bought it, etc.?

Thanks.

Nintendo has been gayified. Wait for a couple years for the PS3 to drop in price and for game designers to learn how to utilize its technology, then go for it.

It definitely fits that requirement better than any other system.

Finally got mine earlier this month, and I'm loving it so far.  Picked up Super Paper Mario yesterday, and it is a gem of a game.  Tiger Woods 07 is excellent as well; it's a whole different experience than on any other system.  Just make sure you use the wrist straps.  Wiimote + TV =  :crybaby:

This is what I was looking for.  How accurate is the controller in Tiger Woods?

Accurate enough, I think;  at this point, I'm happy to blame any miscues on my complete lack of skill.  You might dig around some game review sites to see if there are complaints.

I wasn't very much of a fan... the novelty of it just wore off really quickly for me.. It does seem like it would be a good system for the family though..

No more SOCOM?  :'(

As for the Wii, extremely addicting at first.  The sports games that come with it are easy to learn so anyone can just come over and play without a learning curve (i.e. tennis is a blast)  Some games are more difficult to pick up, such as Madden.  Haven't played Tiger Woods on it but it sounds like a lot of fun.  The novelty of the system does wear off after a few weeks.  No doubt, it's a great system, but it leaves you wanting more, even if you downgrade your gaming status to "casual gamer."

Why didn't you ask me first?  :)

No More SOCOM?  I couldn't get you to play EVER so I just lost interest.

Didn't ask you first because I knew you'd be in a bad way over the basketball scenario.  Nice to see that you've regained your composure!

Seriously, save your money for when game developers learn how to program for the cell processing technology found in the PS3. Within the year, badass games will flood the market for the PS3, starting with GTA4.

I've always liked the xbox controllers the best, but Playstation always comes out with the most games.  What is one to do?

Oh and wii is for 8 year olds.  Gets old fast.

I read the other day that the PS3 was only using 20% of its capability... scary.

Cire you might want to read my original post, I'm not buying the system primarily for my own gaming.  If that were the case I'd already have a 360.

I think it's great fun.

Been playing Zelda off and on and it just rocks your socks off.

Shing!  It almost makes you happy in the pants.

Yes, because when I think "family game," Grand Theft Auto is the first thing to pop in my mind!

    The very best.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

I think I threw out my shoulder playing the Wii this weekend.  It's sore as a mother.

New York for GTA, eh?  Sweet.
