if huggins is already calling our recruits, what are the odds he's not going to put the full court press on hill/martin?

I don't think that matters. I imagine that they are pretty pissed off about the whole situation. West Virginia isn't home for Martin and Hill.

neither is manhattan, yet they followed huggins here.  and being pissed off will only matter if they get promotions quickly.
You obviously missed the tone of my post. Huggins dragged them out here to Kansas just to leave again. I am saying that I don't think they are too happy about it and they don't have the same dying love to go to WV like Huggins does.

this aint rocket science.

if he asks them to wvu, he didn't leave them.  he just switched the location, and they got no tie to mhk.

There is a reason that they are still in town.

Martin didn't accompany the scumbag to KSU on the first day did he?
No but Martin was still an assistant for another school when Huggins was hired here, wasn't he? The fact that we are in talks with Martin and Hill can only be a good thing, obviously.

There is a reason that they are still in town.

it could be several reasons:

1.  hugginss said he doesn't want them and they have no other choice
2.  huggins hasn't said a word and is waiting until after the freaking presser to start the hiring process.  he didn't announce his staff day 1 at ksu either, now did he?
3.  huggins has already told them they're part of his plan at wvu, but they're waiting to see if a hc job pops

to be more specific..

Gillispie was a high school head coach for 6 years and then an asst coach in D-1 for 8 years prior to getting UTEP HC position.

Martin was a high school head coach for 7 years and then an asst coach in D-1 for 7 years prior to present.

Hmmm...

Both were proving to be very good asst coaches and recruiters.

With Martin & Hill the question really becomes whether the fans here would prefer flashier resumes or the nation's #1 recruiting class.  Me personally I want the playahs.
