Position Description: Support site supervision as required. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: Update site specific web page. Complete all required safety training. Assist with regular preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair activities on wind turbine generators. Perform electrical, hydraulic and mechanical troubleshooting activities as required. Attend regular safety meetings and follow all appropriate company safety and environmental policies. Operate, maintain, and manage utility truck and tool inventory. Lead a quality improvement project to improve equipment or processes. Participate in a root cause analysis, failure modes and effect analysis and develop predictive/preventive maintenance tools as needed. Walk down systems, collect turbine part and parameter data and analyze differences. Career-related activities encountered in the student¿s area of specialization, under supervision of the hiring manager. This position will provide mentoring and practical hands-on experience and assist the intern with achieving deliverables related to course of study.
Position Requires: Candidates must meet the following criteria 1. Currently enrolled in a four year college program 2. Be able to present proof of eligibility to work in the USA 3. Satisfy preemployment background investigation and drug screen 4. Highly motivated and resourceful with a strong academic standing 5. Be able to perform the tasks required by the position.
Qualifications: Must have completed at least 2 years of college education toward a technical degree, be able to work outdoors in inclement weather, climb ladders without assistance, and work at heights greater than 100 feet from the ground. Also should have the ability to manage multiple priorities, ability to work with teams, strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, with strong PC skills and Microsoft Office proficiency. 3.0 GPA
