We have a defensive end at quarterback.  Holy @#%$.

He probably should look at ku's basketball team.

Freeman's alright, if you like 6'6" 250 lb quarterbacks, with laser, rocket arm. :notworthy:

Beasely went 22-4 as a starter in his tenure at KSU....I'd take a fat qb and that record any day.

Didnt hurt he had some of the best defenses (if not the best) while he was the qb, or quincy morgan and josh scobey

Plus, Beasley was the king of the "sandlot" play where everything would break down and then he would wave Morgan to take off down field and just chuck it to him.  Good times.

Man we were awesome.

In nosejob's defense it was 3:50 am where he is.  That's much better.

Beasley was a master at the fake pitch off the option, sending some LB running out at Scobey, then tucking the ball and getting 12.

Yeah, I have nightmares of Hybel(sp?) chucking up wounded ducks on 3rd and long and Trent Smith jumping up with coop barely getting a hand up and not turning his head.  god that night sucked.

Well, I can look back at that and think the coaches went in thinking "Smith won't be able to beat us" and at the end of the day he played a major role for them in that win.

That said, the ball was tipped on the PI call on Coop.

I am just glad to see Hoax back . . . public pheasant season ended back in January and I think even hunting preserve season is over now.  Hate to see Hoax go to jail for hunting pheasant too long.  Really loved his thoughts on arm strength . . . that guy really knows his stuff.

Loved the Hoax analogy about Discuss throwers being much "smaller" then Shot Putters thus muscle strength and mass was no big deal in throwing motion.

Current top discuss thrower in the world is 6-6 290, top American (5th in the world) is a fire plug at 6-2 270 and a noted power lifter, Al Oerter in his prime was 6-4 280.

He tries to be like Hatter, but totally sucks at it.

Back to Freeman.  We've already seen his potential, and damn did it look great.  I can't imagine how amazing he'll be as a junior

I agree.  He was a true Freshman, that made a lot of Freshman mistakes at some critical times last year.

Props to 'Hox on calling the move to the 3-4.  No one saw that one coming.
