Bottom line, ku just has too much talent for us...this year.  Amazing what Huggins has done with this team.  Just think, if Huggins had the talent to work with that Self has, Huggins would be undefeated.

Considering Hoskins couldn't have picked a worse game to disappear, the final score was respectable. Still a K-State loss. Which leaves the Cats waiting until tomorrow to find out their fates. Martin played well, but didn't dominate the way K-State needed. He needed a 30-point effort for the Cats to win, instead, he battled foul trouble most of the game.

Is there no bonus FT in the first of games? How did I not know this? ku commits nine fouls in the first half, and K-State takes only two free throws?

Their fouls were all player control offensive fouls which unfortunately are non-shooting.  The call that really killed us was the jump ball on the missed ku FT that should have been a foul.  I realize we got the ball and converted, but when Cartier got tied up by Rush soon after, ku got the ball.  That and the mystery fourth foul on Cartier were horrible.

I have said for years that ku has failed to cut down the nets in the NCAA because the officiating is different in the NCAA vs. during Big 12 season.

I hate ku now more than at any other time in my life.

I swear I've seen charges result in free throws once the team is in the bonus, but maybe not. Thanks for answering my question.
I don't know if there's any lobbying to be done by the higher ups, but if there's ever a time where Wieser needs to call in a favor or two, this might be it.
Because, after 169 times of "the formula" being put to the test, K-State would be the first to be left out after going 20/10.
