we've earned a bye in the Big XII Tournament and have to hope that we play Tech and win just to have a chance to get in? So what they're saying is that us earning a bye in the Big XII Tournament is a BAD thing? Maybe HCHE should have said "Hello.....You play to LOSE the game"?

almost all the ESPN fairies picked TECH to go in. most left us out.

We all know there's been a conspiracy. Only the failures have been recorded.

Its clear most of the pundits are going to view our game friday as a play-in game.  Whether or not the committee agrees, we'll see.  Let's just win the game and make it easy.

    This ZERO is my Hero
Funny things is, with Huggins talking about how a team with our record and standing in the conference has never not made the tourney.  After hearing that, thoughts of 98 football season kept entering my mind.

Hey, KSU is fully capable of beating TT. KSU played them at the worst possible time.  Don't get me wrong. TT will be a handful but so is KSU KSU & TT are a handful unless you have the amount of talent that ku has. Bootom line is that we could very well be playing ku for the title. We beat Texas, almost beat A&m on their home court.  I have no reservation about KSU playing TT. IMO TT and KSU are similiar in nature. Both teams are capable of winning games in the NCAA unless you get refs. that punish physical play. :beerchug:  Let the tournament begin.

Mike Jarvis from Yahoo Sports thinks we are in.  Although I didn't know he was even employed, he said 5 from the Big 12.

I don't understand it 21  and 10 with our record down the stretch, It blows my mind that we are not a lock to some.

To many people, perception is reality.  Hopefully the ADs that make up the committee view the Big 12 (especially the north) with more clarity than the "bracketologists".  Hopefully they look at road/neutral wins.  Hopefully the view our win over UT highly.

From what the "experts" say, it is likely that we need to win at least Friday to get in.  Personally, I believe avenging the loss to TT would be enough.  What chaps me is that a superior league record means we beat more of the teams we were supposed to beat.  Since TT beat A&M twice, and ku, that means they were 6-7 against the rest of the teams they should've beaten.  Why is it so obvious that they should be rewarded more than KSU should.  If the north is truly that weak, then we can also stop all the conversation about ku getting a #1 seed because they should be lucky to get a #3 or #4 seed.  A&M and Texas are obviously both more deserving of a #1, based on that criteria.  Also, our record against top-50 RPI teams is always quoted.  Let's review a little, ku (ranked top 5) we played at home and away, we lost to A&M on the road, and we won at UT on the road.  We lost to OSU on the road (15-2 home record?).  Basically, we lost to a top 5 team at home, and we lost early to TT at home.  The other RPI losses were road losses to solid teams.  To anyone who has seen us play, we are obviously a far different team than the team that had the early season losses.  The only truly bad loss we have had in awhile was the NU game...and we played poorly against a very good, and hot, ku team on the road.

we're 6-4 in our last ten, solid but not great.

losing our first game in the big 12 tourney would make us 5-5 in the last ten going into selection sunday.
