Sorry.  :-[

It's ok.  They know now.  Not a big Releford fan, but I can't even imagine the meltdown that would occur if he committed to KSU.

Yeah, that would almost make landing our Plan B easy to swallow.

'Stunner, your problem is that you compare every player to Beasley.  There are only a handful of guys in each recruiting class who have the ability of a Michael Beasley.  Releford is just a solid, top 50 recruit, who plays under control and let's the game come to him.  Not every single recruit is going to be a five-star McDonald's All-American.

Wouldn't you compare most guys to "the best"?

cmon stunner.  i thought you were better than this.  the only way releford goes to ku is if we look somewhere else.  we are leading big for warren and also for it appears we have a good shot at getting monroe, the #1 player in 08,  add osby, who numerous scouts have pegged as a julian wright clone to chalmers collins and aldrich and we will still be loaded.  and we will also probably get either roe(99%unc bound imo, but he is still listening to us), gordon or green.  like i said i know coach zych and its all ku and unc for releford.  it appears unc will back off because they are going to get holiday, roe, samuels, and another 5 star guard as well.  and also xavier henry of 2009 is a lock, and many scouts also project him to be a close second behind cousins or possibly even overtake cousins in the rankings.  one scouts said he was nba ready right now as a soph and another said he was the second best player he has seen in high school regardless of class.  dont try to compete with ku in recruiting.  you got your 1 year superstars but we reload with superstars every year.

That's a pretty vague statement, but I think you get my point.  K-State is going to take the best available talent on the board, regardless of where a player is ranked.  Huggins knows how to build a team, and he realizes that you need a nice blend of players who can work together as a team.  Beasley is a one of a kind.  You can't expect every player in the country to have a Youtube video that shows a guy scoring 50 points in a high-school all-star game.  It's just not realistic.

Meh....he should be a fallback plan if we don't land Warren and Shipman, IMO.

You have no shot with Warren.  His leaders are ku and Arkansas.

Is Arkansas up there b/c Self will be there next year?

According to Rivals, Willie Warren is visiting ku this weekend for the Texas game.  He says ku is the leader for his services.

Yeah, no info is less credible than a Shay article that has been paraphrased.
