is setting up to be a huge game for us.  I know I'm looking past CU, but in reality if we lose that game we have to play on sunday in OKC to even have a shot anyway.

OSU is quickly playing their way out, and they're probably at best looking to finish out with 2 more wins and finish 7-9 in the league.  However, we can still get a bump from winning in their place and it probably is a must win for our team.  IMO, this could be a game that decides whether or not the Big 12 gets 4 or 5 seeds, with us being the 5th seed.  OSU is likely an NIT barring some miraculous finish.

Tech can obviously still play their way out or in and I don't think the chances are high they win out, but even at 8-8 and with their good wins and SOS Tech probably still has a good enough resume in the eyes of the committee.  I think Tech is likely in unless they finish under .500 in the league.

I do feel better about our chances as we got some help in the overall picture last night, but I think we need to win out our regular schedule to have any comfort.  Even 2 more wins and 1 in OKC has me edgy now.  We still control our own destiny and winning out is far from certain, but this team has shown they can string some wins together and we should be set up to get a 2nd wind after a decent break from the big monday game.  Having those few extra days could help a bunch down the stretch.

    The very best.
You don't see Tech winning out?? Baylor, @ISU, OSU will be 3-0 for them imo.

They are in, let's just hope we grab that 5th spot by winning in Stillwater.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Tech "should" win out, but they also have already lost to Baylor and to Nebraska in Lubbock.  Winning in Ames is far from a certainty for them.  Still, if they finish 2-1, I think the committee will overlook a late bad loss and their 5 game league slide and Tech will be in the dance.  It seems to the committee a quality win will outweigh 2 or 3 bad losses as long as you finish .500 or above in your league.

I agree that winning in Stillwater will play a huge role in whether we're the 5th seed or the Big 12 only gets 4.  Otherwise we'll be playing a couple more home games.

Yesterday when I said Tech was going to win out I was a madman  :blank:

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

I would put the chances of Tech winning out at about 30%.

I'd put the chances of KSU winning out at about 50%.

Winning at Osu would be big.  That would most likely put us at 11-5, and with that conf record we are a LOCK for the dance.

If we don't win down there and end at 10-6, then a win in the B12 quarters would be just as big.  As of right now, the safe bet looks like we would play Tech (4 vs 5 seed).  If we beat Tech then i feel very very good about our chances

So if we win in Stillwater or B12 quarters (and don't lose to CU/OU) ..... i think our chances are close to 90%
If we go 10-6 and lose in the quarters ......... i think it is 50/50 at best.   We'd need some help with other bubble teams struggling
