The Longhorns are 16-5 and 6-1 in the Big XII with a win over LSU and losses at Michigan State, to Gonzaga and at Oklahoma State.
The Longhorns are lead by G-F Kevin Durant, G A.J. Abrams and G D.J. Augustin. Durant averages 25 points/game (leading the team) and 12 rebounds/game (leading the team). He has scored less then 20 points in only 3 games this season and had an unbelievable 23 rebounds at Texas Tech. Abrams averages 16 points/game and 2 rebounds/game. Augustin averages 13 points and 3 rebounds/game and leads the team with 7 assists/game.
I think the key to this game for the Cats is to come out with the intensity that they came out with against Missouri. Texas' starting five is 4 freshmen and a sophomore while the Cats' starting five includes four upperclassmen. Combine the youth of the Longhorns with the the way the Cats are capable of playing defense and there's no reason to say that the Cats don't have a shot at a resume defining victory.
