I guess we should have run it more huh?

odd quote from Mangino given our RB's rushing #'s, "We played the run very well and forced Kansas State to throw a lot".  That is not how I remembered it.  We did throw the ball quite a bit on first down.

hindsight is 20/20 but probably should have given Patton and Johnson the rock a few more times especially w/ our heels to the our own endzone when Freeman got sacked/fumbled for a ku score.

We started running a hell of a lot when there were only 6 minutes left in the game and we were down by 2 scores.  What kind of play calling is that?

yeah, even taking out Patton's 44 yd scamper, we still had 21 for 86.  That's over 4 a carry.

Was it me, or did we not use the middle of the field at all today when passsing???

During the last ten minutes of the game, Prince was running time off the clock better than Mangino was.
I'm telling you, this is not ANYTHING like the team from the beginning of conference play. You will see no more blowouts like what happened in OOC.  If we lose, it will not because these kids gave up, and it will be at the buzzer. -Rodless, before 97-70

That stretch puzzled me too.

Why do Boo and GoldPrick show up now??

Goldy disappears for a month, on the worlds longest Pheasant hunt, but magically appears now.

    The very best.
Patton went 90-545 in big 12 play.

6.05 ypc.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Johnson was 87-375. 4.3 ypc.

Huge difference.

Not really. Still excited we have both back, and return most of our O-line.

What was your team rushing total before Prince started running the ball against ku's prevent defense?

IMO, ku was stopping the run other than a few draw plays and the one long great run.

That's because that was about the only times we ran.

Patton didn't get a carry in the first half after his big run.

At the 7:57 mark it was ku 33, KSU 20.  After that, I think ku went into a "soft defense".  And after that, Patton rushed twice for 11 yards, Johnson rushed twice for 3 yards, and Freeman ran once for 4 yards.

Prince forgot to run the ball when the game mattered and his QB was struggling.  It reminded me of Mangino in Manhattan last year.

Or do you mean "Cornish had no problem running all day."
