On Josh Freeman’s command in the huddle...

“He does take control. He’s the quarterback and we all listen to him and that’s the way it is. In practice, Josh will joke around with us and keep it a little light, but during the game he’s completely focused on what he needs to get done and what he needs to do. He tells us what to do and that’s all there is to it, we listen.”

Kinda wish he would have been allowed to cut his teeth in the non-con, but I'm sure there were reasons he wasn't...seems it worked out pretty well, just sucks to get beat by Misery and lose at home to Nubb.

Growing pains I guess.

Look how different our team is now compared to what we looked like at Baylor. Not even the same team.

We were WRITTEN OFF after the Baylor game...but it might have worked to our advantage.

Freeman's game saving TD vs. Ostate gave some signs that he could be a winner...but the last three games have shown us who our clear cut signal caller is going to be the next three seasons. We haven't had that since Roberson left. Just a bunch of little engines that could...

They replayed one of his games here just recently on Metro Sports .... he tossed 5 TD passes in it.

he could have went straight from the womb to beating texas. no pit stops.

We all pay too much attention to Icarus, and not enough to his father.

Umbilical cords limit pocket mobility.

I think the most impressive thing to me is his demeanor...he doesn't do much STUPID stuff...and appears to be very calm and collected....also handles media attention well for such a young guy....shows maturity.

Totally agree with Freeman's ability to handle questions from the media.  The on-field, post-game interview (ESPN, I think) was excellent.  Unlike heroic QBs in our recent Wildcat history, JF appears to be able to communicate intelligently, without sloppily applying every cliche he's ever heard, and without bringing embarrasment to the academic side of the university.
