Looks like the odds makers are giving the squawks the advantage being on their home field and having an extra week to prepare.

Not only do we have a far superior team and not only are we playing far better but now Prince gets to play the "no respect" card as well.  Somewhere Bill Snyder is smiling.

Where did you see that?

LVSC opened it at ku -3.  The offshore books, like Pinnacle that post Sunday evening lines will often post a slightly different number based on the betting habits of online players...

It's an AWFUL situation for KSU, but this team seems to be on a mission.  I'm gonna wait and see what happens with this line.

I'm seeing +2 there as well.  But, they will generally post some lines a bit differently than what LVSC originally sets, partly because they can gauge early action in Vegas in reduce some exposure by setting a better line.

I'm sure that Pinnacle, like all online books, will adjust lines you see based on what type of "player rating" you have.  But, in my experience you usually have to be pretty sharp and be making dime or greater plays on a consistent basis to get the shaded lines.

HOW THE HELL ARE WE NOT FAVORED?
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

It's a combination of "the body of work", meaning the entire season's stats including the first five games, the fact that most teams tank the week after a major upset, and the fact that gay-u has had two weeks of prep time.

I'm glad that we are a small underdog.  I think our kids will play better from that spot than if we were "expected" to win...

Freeman has a 71% completion rate the last 3 games.

I don't see how ku stops him.

HOW THE HELL ARE WE NOT FAVORED?

Trust me.  I may have possibly spent some time as a bookmaker in the far distant past.

Do NOT bet on KSU in this game.

Cheer hard, pray a lot, and don't lose your money.

what worries me most is how poorly we defended against jackson the 2nd half in the cu game.  ku will be running their qb a lot in this one and i'm not confident in how we defend that.  could be a shootout.

You also have to realize ku has been prepping for two weeks against us and I'm sure they are going to be looking at getting through our defense, possibly even setting up new plays.

They need this game to make themselves bowl eligible, and while KSU is bowl eligible, a loss will not hurt us at getting into a bowl.  Fans are eager to go.

That being said, this coaching staff is not going to rest on their laurels.

That's great advice, which I'll likely follow.

HOWEVER, I'd like to wait and hear what folks are saying around Manhattan about the way the kids are handling the UT win.  I have a feeling that this team will remain focused on the task at hand and get past the squawks.

The "underdog" role SHOULD get their attention, imho.

I'm worried about their qb run game and the option.  Our linebackers overpursue a lot.

I think this game is a shootout.  Would be nice if we could just hurt meier and reesing.

Mangino has only won 1 game following a bye week in his head coaching career.  It was against IOWA STATE to become bowl eligable.  I'm not banking on the extra week of preperation being a huge factor.

I believe being a small underdog will help a young KSU team stay focused. I like the way things are setting up! :woohoo: :woohoo: :beerchug: :beerchug:

If they rely on their qb run game, KM will be broken faster than McCoy.
