There must be some way for them to transfer within conference.   If I'm not mistaken we had a player that transferred to the NUBBs and then played against us this year.

the rules are in place to prevent schools like Texas from using the other teams in the league as their farm system.  Transfer to a JC, then to the school and you are fine.  Gabe Toomey did this a few years ago.  Rare, but it happens.
