I still find it strange that 'Ol Ballz, makin over 2 Mil a year, gives Grandson a Full Ride Schollie.
He can afford to pay for the kids schooling!
It seems more appropriate to publicly say....."since I make 2 Mil a year, I'll pay for Tattor Tots schooling and award this Ship to an athlete that needs it more...............
Nepotism runs DEEP at the Vanier complex!!   :jerkoff: :jerkoff:

    Hey, basketball!!!
Yeah we've been discussing this ever since we found out that Snyder even had a grandson named Tate (like three months ago). The Tate Snyder career @ K-State will be a VERY fun one to judge though (you know what I mean? Just like sit back & watch). Should be fun...

Dude Snyder doesn't make 2.0 million he makes like 1.8 or something like that.   So I can see why he feels the need to give Tate a full boat in these tough economic times.

Yeah, there are tons of 5-heart studs around just waiting to come to ksu without a scholarship...not.  Offering was the only way we could get the kid in purple.

Not sure, but I'm guessing that a Head Coach paying for a kids tuition, MIGHT be some violation of NCAA rules.  :dunno:  uk would have had Danny Manning and Mario Chalmers as walk-ons and just upped Daddy's salary if you could do that.

This talking point has been beaten like a dead horse.  Of course it wreaks of nepotism, get over it!  Last time Snyder gave a nepo-ship we ended up with an AA Punter.

Wasn't this kid 6A all-state?  He can't be that friggin' bad.

Since when can a coach pay for a player's schooling and call him a "walk on?"  Probably can't even give him a Christmas gift.
BEsides,  Tate was FIRST TEAM ALL-STATE.
THINK before you type.

Don't refer to the best Ksu coach in history as 'ballz'.

Recruiting class would look dec' if we recalculated for hearts.  Other stats of interest: green clovers and purple horseshoes.  :ksu:

You must be a real dumbass.  All American punters are anything but a dime a dozen.  That's like saying Groza winners grow on trees.  Punters can have a tremendous impact on a game, for good or bad.  And how exactly did Snyd's "make sure" of Sean's AA status?  Bill Snyder was basically a nobody at that point.  What possible pull did he have with the AP that would ensure jack crap?

but Sean led the nation in punting average for 2 consecutive years on a pretty sucky KSU team.  IIRC, the second year he averaged 44-45 YPP, which is ridiculous.  So, no, Snyder didn't arrange for him to be CAA.

Dude, that guy is obviously a moron.  Only someone who's never watched football would think Punters (or kickers for that matter) are a dime a dozen.

There were two games this season that we probably win, BUT FOR the kicking game.  Obviously LaLa and @ NU, their punter had us pinned inside the 5 three times iirc.  Anyone that's a fan of the Chiefs knows that kickers are very important, i.e. Lynn Elliott v. Dustin Colquitt

If it were 100% nepotism, Rob Snyder (Bill's other son that played RB in the 90s) would have had a scholie.  He didn't because he wasn't that good.  Tate is a legitimate player.  I don't know if he's a Big 12 caliber player, but it's not as much of a stretch as some would believe.
