So will the cats ever be invited back to sprint after this?  Probably costs more to have them here than kc will make.

Haverhill will not be in attendance. Granted, IUPUI does sound like the noise a pig makes, and I am apparently a pig-loving hick (according to this board) but I just don't see any reason to head down any stretch of interstate to see the Fighting EMAW's vs IUPUI, whether it's from Ames, or Manhattan. K-State should play a team like Creighton, Iowa, Missouri State, Illinois, or Wichita State, at the Sprint Center; not IUPUI....

This should, in theory, be the last crap game at Sprint.  I liked the idea of switching a non con to the sprint, would that work like it does in fb?  I wouldn't do it w/ mizzou though.  ISU or Nubb though, but some years that might get the same turnout.

I wouldn't drive to Kansas City to see K-State in bball. The only way I would drive to Kansas City for bball if it was some sort of tournament like the CBE, or the Big 12 Tournament. One game doesn't cut if for a 3 hour roadtrip like that.

You need to play a team like Wichita State, Missouri State, or Creighton at the Sprint Center. It won't be successful unless you can draw from both fanbases.

KSU needs to play a game a year at Wichita's new downtown arena as well. I'll be at the game today with 2 others.  Pretty excited first game since at OSU last year.

Wouldn't make any sense, considering we play them at least twice per season.  Really don't see us playing them in KC twice a year and no way either team gives up a home game every year.

I could tell attendance was a little better than So. Miss. last year.  Rumor of 4K apparently turned out to be false:

Quote
Official attendance was 7,053. K-State drew about 6,000 fans for last year's game against Southern Mississippi after drawing nearly 18,000 the year before against Florida A&M.

I was kind of pissed they didn't give out any promotional cards yesterday like they had the previous two years.  If I had known that in advance, I probably would not have gone all the way over there to see the game.  But it turned out good, though, because I went to Ameristar Casino after the game and won $550 playing no limit hold-em.  Just enough for me to hit the strip clubs after that.

Most awesome part of the trip was the cappuccino slushies at the QT shop on the concourse.  I downed two of those bad boys before halftime.   :lick:

Great showing all around yesterday by the KC Catsketball fans.  The P&L and Sprint Center were literally overflowing with EMAW.

A hearty lol to the 'tards complaining about attendance.  We had a strong 7K there, 1,000 more than last year for So. Miss.  Add this game to the season ticket package, as it was for Martin's first year, and we'd have had 14 or 15 there.

dudes, those cappuccino slushies are another joy of life.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

I didn't go to any high-class expensive clubs.  Just a couple of trashy ones.  I'm a cheap bastard even after I win some money.

I'm glad the only thing getting you to KC for the game was a casino and strip club.

Hell yeah!  All the more reason to go out to Vegas in two weeks to see them take on UNLV.  Just last week me and two old high school buddies went to that First Council Casino down in Newkirk, Oklahoma south of Ark City.  We all bought in for $200 each, and after about 4 or 5 hours, each of us had a grand in chips stacked in front of us.  We were just killing everyone else at the table.  Never seen anything like it.  We should have left at that point, but we wanted to stay and watch the KSU vs NU game playing on the overhead screens.  One friend played smart and protected his chips, and the other one lost every bit of it back and barely broke even for the day.  I lost about half of mine back and cashed out up only $350 on the day after being up $750 earlier.  It was like the fortunes of KSU football went up in smoke along with most of our winnings.   :'(
