Quote
NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP)—Yale's first-year coach Tom Williams says he's ready to take responsibility for the Bulldogs' eighth loss in the last nine games to rival Harvard.

Yale was ahead 10-7 Saturday with just 2:25 left when it failed to convert a fake punt on fourth-and-22 from its 26, and wound up losing 14-10.

"The whole idea was to keep our foot on the pedal, and not play scared," said Williams in trying to explain the call. "If anyone is looking for somebody to blame, blame this guy right here."
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

I was there yesterday.

It was the most baffling decision I've ever seen on a football field.  Ever.

Anyone know what the line was?  Smells fishy.  Not saying that a black coach would be more on the take than a white coach fwiw.
Here's hoping that Clams is chillin' with someone cool up in that big EMAW in the sky. RIP Clams, RIP.

Was visiting my bro, who goes to Harv.  Went down to New Haven for the game.  Didn't see much of the town, but have heard that it's a dump.  The setting was actually really awesome.  When you walk into Yale Bowl, you feel like you're watching a game from 60 damn years ago.  There were no ads anywhere -- not one -- and there weren't franking K-StateCars.com commercials blaring at every timeout.  The game itself, for 3 1/2 quarters, was  though, and I-AA football?   :blank:

LOL @ the thought of Harvard message boards.  They're probably all, "Bully!  We fended off those boorish Yale ruffians!  That will teach those ne'er-do-wells to challenge our beloved Crimson footballers on the football field.  But that's just imHo."

LOL

I really imagined pretty much exactly this. And tailgating in a diner car while eating extra fancy potato chips and cheering on a spirited match. GOOD SHOW, I SAY!

Serious question: Does he wear knit sweaters to the game?
