KKK set to further embarrass themselves in OxfordPosted by John Taylor on November 19, 2009 6:56 PM ETHow does the old axiom go, nothing says college football Saturdays like cool weather, changing leaves and a bunch of racist xenophobes wearing white hoods protesting on campus? Or something like that, I think.Anyway, the Mississippi White Knights of the ku Klux Klan plan to stage a protest on the Ole Miss campus to show their disapproval of Houston Nutt's offensive philosophy the university's decision to remove "From Dixie with Love" from the Ole Miss band's song selection.Students were warned that their continuing the traditional chant of "the South will rise again" during the song would result in the song being barred from the game-day experience. The students continued the chant, and the song was removed from the band's rotation. And that decision has the great titan of the Mississippi chapter of the KKK more upset than when he witnesses an interracial marriage ceremony a Jevan Snead pick late in the fourth quarter of a close game."We are coming to Ole Miss to say enough is enough on attacking our Christian, southern heritage and culture, and it's time for every person to have a right to freedom of speech," Shane "Billy Joe Jim Bob" Tate said according to the LSU student newspaper."We aren't coming there to cause problems or cause trouble. Trouble has already been caused by a handful at Ole Miss, including the black student body president, who wants to shape Ole Miss into yet another liberal sodomite college."On the plus side, it'll be the closest any of the protesters or their families get to college, so they have that going for them. Which is good.On the down side, this is way more attention than any of those individuals deserve, so I'll just end this right here.
