Add Buddy Interesting update about Manhattan Regional Airport..... Reply

I guess the connecting flights to Dallas/Ft.Worth have been highly successful and most flights are close to capacity, so not only is there talk about a pretty large renovation to the current airport ( long term parking lot, food courts ), but also there is a possibility of branching out and having connecting flights to Chicago as well. Just thought i'd pass this interesting tidbit along.

Awful lot of good basketball recruits in Chicago.  Would be great for those kids and their families to be able to hop on a 50 minute flight to MHK and avoid the extra hour drive to/from Lawrence or Columbia.

    The very best.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Who would have ever guessed that Manhattan's intellectual/athletic elite would want to fly directly to/from their own city rather than drive 2 hours to MCI?  I mean...wow.  2+2=4.  Time to start thinking about 737 service, bros.

BTW, that airplane looks stunning in the rain.  Probably being flown by KSU grads too.

This shot is nicely framed with part of the Flint Hills in the background.
