The Jayhawks are 5-3 (1-3) with wins over Duke, Southern Mississippi and Iowa State and losses at Colorado, to Oklahoma and at Texas Tech. The Jayhawks are coming off of a season in which they went 8-5 (4-4).

QB Todd Reesing is completing 64% of his passes for 2,385 yards with 16 touchdown passes (4 vs. Iowa State) and 7 interceptions (3 vs. Oklahoma). He has also rushed for 4 touchdowns (2 vs. Northern Colorado).

RB's Toben Opurum and Jake Sharp have rushed for 824 yards on 186 carries (4.4 yards/carry) and 12 touchdowns this season.

Opurum and Sharp will run behind an offensive line that starts two freshmen (LT Tanner Hawkinson and LG John Williams), two sophomores (C Jeremiah Hatch and RT Jeff Spikes) and a junior (RG Sal Capra). It's an offensive line that has allowed Reesing to be sacked 21 times.

WR's Kerry Meier and Dezmon Briscoe have averaged 12.7 yards/catch on 119 catches for 1,507 yards and 11 touchdowns this season. Meier caught 16 balls for 142 yards and 2 touchdowns in the win over Iowa State. It was the middle game in a three game stretch in which he caught a double digit number of passes. He has averaged double digits yards/catch in 3 games this season. Briscoe caught 12 passes for 186 yards in the win over Iowa State and also had 100 yard games at UTEP, vs. Duke, at Colorado and at Texas Tech.

Defensively, the Jayhawks are TERRIBLE where they've given up 37 points/game in Big XII play. DE Quintin Woods is a transfer from Michigan and DE Jake Laptad had 7 sacks last season. Linebacker is a weakness for the Jayhawks where only Justin Springer is a playmaker. The pathetic play of the front seven should keep CB's Chris Harris and Ryan Murphy busy all day.

The bottom line is this.....I didn't waste alot of time writing this because when there's a Big XII North title to be won, you don't need to waste your time breaking down a game you should win 66-14 (it can't make the uk fans, and especially the Mangina, happy to know that Coach Snyder is back). That coupled with the fact that Nebraska hosts Oklahoma on Saturday will help the Cats come that much closer to locking up the Big XII North title and a Big XII Championship Game date with our rivals.
