The Sooners are 4-3 (2-1) with wins over Idaho State, Tulsa, Baylor and at Kansas and losses to BYU, at Miami (FL) and to Texas. The Sooners are coming off of a season in which they went 12-2 (7-1).

QB Landry Jones, filling in for Sam Bradford, is completing 61% of his passes for 1,363 yards with 13 touchdown passes (6 vs. Tulsa) and 6 interceptions (2 vs. Tulsa and Texas each).

RB's Chris Brown and DeMarco Murray have rushed for 830 yards on 189 carries (4.4 yards/carry) and 8 touchdowns this season. Something to take into consideration is that Murray has a bad ankle and didn't touch the ball against Kansas.

Brown and Murray will run behind an offensive line that starts a freshmen (C Ben Habern), a sophomore (RT Jarvis Jones) a junior (RG Tavaris Jeffries) and two seniors (LT Trent Williams and LG Brody Eldridge). It is an offensive line that has allowed Jones to be sacked 5 times.

WR's Ryan Broyles and Brandon Caleb have averaged 14.6 yards/catch on 62 catches for 908 yards and 10 touchdowns this season. Broyles caught 11 balls for 128 yards and 3 touchdowns in the win over Tulsa. He also caught 11 balls for 121 yards in the win over Kansas yesterday. Caleb caught 7 passes for 139 yards in the win over Baylor and 5 passes for 104 yards and 2 touchdowns in the win over Tulsa.

Defensively, the Sooners have playmakers all over the place. It starts with DT Gerald McCoy. McCoy has speed, strength and quickness, plugs running lanes and gets after the quarterback. His presence alone allows DE's Jeremy Beal and Auston English to add their own pressure to the quarterback. WLB Travis Lewis was a RB when he was converted to LB and all he did was break Brian Bosworth's freshmen record for tackles with 144. SLB Keenan Clayton is a converted safety which allows the Sooners to disguise their defenses because you don't know when he's going to rush the QB or drop back into coverage. CB's Dominique Franks and Brian Jackson are speedy and can cover any WR's in the conference.
