You can eliminate FHSU, it really doesn't count anyway.  Basically another exhibition.

Overall, very solid, especially if we can make the Championship game in PR.  Key thing is that only four of those teams end up >200 in the RPI and only one >300, those really kill you.  Last year we had six >200 and two >300.

Then the possibility of 5 OOC games against <100 teams.  Last year we only had 2.  Of course if we do have 5, it would be good to win at least 3 of those, if not 4.

That's set up to be a solid OOC schedule, probably top 100 or better.

'bama should have an RPI lower than 100 by the time we play them (Tony Mitchell-Andrew Steele-JaMychal Green).

SD LBBIQ COMMENT ALERT:  Looks like that PR tourney is going to make or break us.  If we lay an egg and only play the bottom 3 teams in that we really hurt ourselves.

Not really.  The good thing is there are no aweful teams in the tournament.  Even Boston U should be decent.  The worst team last year was Indiana, and with Crean as coach they should be improved.  So we shouldn't face anyone there with an RPI >150 and probably should have 2 games against <100 teams.  As long as we win the first round, we'll be in good shape.

I think losing Iowa, Kentucky, and Oregon(??) in that 3 game stretch was what killed us, to most people anyway. Losing to 3 BCS schools in our OOC schedule didn't look very good, no matter what their RPI was.
I walk out of that tunnel in this building and the passion of our fans, just gets me going. I mean just gives me an adrenaline rush that you guys just don't understand. - Frank Martin

Watch yourself on the "even Boston U should be decent" comment. That's my alma mater, and you can rest assured I'll be insufferable around this board when that game is played. Truth is, the Terriers' backcourt is only a little worse than K-State's. John Holland is nasty. Corey Lowe is a loose cannon, but if gets hot, watch out. Tyler Morris is a driveway shooter who played high school basketball with Greg Oden - yep, that's the best I've got on him. But BU has a new coach, Pat Chambers, who was an assistant under Jay Wright at 'Nova. I expect K-State to win, but the Terriers will make it closer than most think...

how many points do you want?  the winner of the bet wins a lap dance in vegas (not from the loser).

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

Thanks J-Mart.  I expected that with an RPI as low as they had last year, the had to be decent.  I didn't know who they had back, but with 2 good guards, that sounds like a good challenge in the first game, and hopefully a good RPI game for the Cats.

If Frank doesn't try to prove points in the non-con, then we'll be okay.  The non-con is good enough that a decent showing in conference (6 or above) and we're an absolute lock.  If Frank wants to try to prove points, then we will again put all of our eggs into the conference basket.

Crean cleaned house and then had back to back great recruiting classes.  Indiana should be a very much improved.
