so my brother and his wife just moved to new zealand. here is part her most recent family email update...

So, for those who are interested in my cool coffee shop story, here it goes: This morning we headed down to Cafe Divine (our regular coffee house where we go a few times a week.) and ran into this new guy who was working there. I said "good morning" and he said, "Go Kats" I was kind of thinking 'okay that's weird'..... Then he pointed at my hat and said, "Aren't those supposed to be purple!?" I started laughing and FINALLY realized that he was talking about my K-State hat and he actually KNEW about Manhattan, Kansas!!! (My K-State hat happens to be pink, just because I love pink) I was so shocked....He started talking about Tuttle Creek and then I really knew that he was for real...This guy was a real world traveler. He is originally from Holland but apparently had gotten married in Manhattan, Kansas - of all the places in the world.....It is definitely a small world, and apparently there are K-State fans EVERYWHERE!!! (He said he had a few shirts and hats himself. haha.) "Go Kats", indeed...

    The very best.
good story, man.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

a lot of wineries in that part of new zealand. anyway, napier is an elite city in an elite country. also on the north island which you'd pretty much have to be on if you moved there. good call on your brothers part. how does he like it? weather should be nice/getting nice this time of year, no?

they are actually living in like a spare guest house type thing for free, friends of theirs. it is DIRECTLY on the beach 400meters or so. they pretty much sold everything but 3 suitcases of crap each, and 2 (3x5) storage containers that they sent before hand. they left some personall odds and ends at my parents place. they just bought a car. both have said it is weird driving on the wrong side of the road along with the steering wheel and shifter on the opposite side of the car.

yeah. that would def be weird. it's good that they have friends there. even better that they are right on the beach. some food and stuff is kinda expensive there too. chicken and beef especially. i'll be sure to hit you up for more info if i ever move there (prob will never happen).

napier below

that guy is a fracking prick.  i remember the day i laid into that a-hole right in front of his T.A.'s.  without going into it, let's just say i put him in his place.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

    Skate on Sister School
I sat next to A. Beane in that class.  We had some tri-delts in front of us who worshipped the ground we walked on.
