WWBW only pertains to athletic apparel.  I'm sure as hell not wearing some Ed Hardy looking hoodie and I'm damn sure not wearing black jeans with some tattoo looking thing on the pocket.  It's not an exact science.

Forrest Gump was a fictional character, and the CGI effects used in the table tennis scenes were very far from convincing (from a real player's perspective that is).
