I know it is FB season, and we are still months away from B-Ball, but I am super excited for this year's team. I look at our roster, and I see the most talented team we've had in years. Granted, we don't have a Beas or Walker, but we have experienced good guard play, freak athletes (Wally, Dom, Jamar) and some size down low. I'd like to think our starting 5 will be Denis, Pullen, Dom, Wally, and C-Kel. That is a pretty good line-up - especially if Wally really is up to 248 lbs like it says on the official roster....damn Greenawalt - nice work! If Dom can put up any kind of offensive numbers this year, I think we will be very good. OF coursed, I'm also expecting 5 star performances from C-Kel.
Then, look at our bench. We are big in the post with Colon (say what you will, he will be an experienced big post with 5 fouls) and Henriquez - who is also supposed to be much bigger as well (245 lbs.....nice, he could get another 5 or 10 on before the season). Then an athletic tough defensive match-up in Jamar.
Our backups on the wing will all be freshman, but I agree with a lot of people that Rod Mac is going to be better that expected. Hopefully he can be a deep threat off of the bench. And, Martavious looks like a linebacker. I love hardnosed, big guards that play defense. Not sure what to expect from Nick Russell. He looks
in his uniform though.
