Coffman vs. Bradford

This may be a stupid question but I am going to ask it anyways.

Why is Carson Coffman so overlooked?

I don't see any differences between him and Bradford besides for shinier toys and a couple trophies, one of them noticeably is the Heisman, but where is their biggest difference on the field, off the field. I want mechanics, mental grasp, etc.

Here is why I ask...

1) Not a big enough fan of football where I can breakdown film
2)Both are the same size. Bradford was more highly rated coming out of high school by rivals.

I'd say it seems like bradford has better "zing" on his passes the carson.

Bradford MIGHT have a little better of an arm than Carson, but he doesn't have the most important thing that Carson has:  that intangible "it."  Carson is just a winner.  Dude is a natural leader, one who people will follow to hell and back.  He just looks like some sort of Roman general or an Egyptian pharaoh.  Write it down.  Before he leaves K-State, (probably after his junior year)  Coffman will have a couple Big 12 titles, a Heisman, a Davey O'Brien or 3, and a MNC.  The kid has never lost a game that he started.  Did you hear me?  Never lost a game!!!

Griffin actually addressed this on ESPN insider a few weeks ago. Surprised no one noticed it then:

Bradford is a little more cunning and sneaky thanks to his partial Asian heritage, but Carson may have a little better pocket presence and ability to "sense the danger" of the pass rush due to the placement of his eyes bovine-style so near to the side of his head.

I wonder if Bradford and Carson are close.  Usually guys that are on an equal level in the same field develop frindships like Marino and Montana, Buffett and Gates or Sharon Collins and some guy who sucks at parenting.

Bradford is simply a system quarterback.  Carson has the ability to dominate any game he plays in, in a wide variety of manners.  You outta see him play basketball.  He's like the white Larry Bird.

I think MadCat nailed it! Up to this point, Bradford's had a better offensive line and skill players surrounding him. Probably still does, but we'll have to wait and see how this all shakes out.

Did you notice the amazing tackle Lamark Brown had at about the 1:40 mark.   Can't OB just tell him to either line up on D or go F himself?

That makes sense. I mean it is just something to keep your eye out on. I don't think Coffman again is going to win a Heisman, but I do not think he is as bad as people make him out to be. He is a nice stopgap for season.

I noticed that EXACT same thing and was about to post until I read this. Completely agree. Just further proof OB needs to put him at LB.

He Truly is a system quarterback. I know this thread isnt about Freems and we know he still doesnt have quite the descision making skills as Bradford, But he certainly had every other ability. He would have been just as celebrated at OU as Bradford is.
As for Carson he truly has it, IT being the winning attitude and demeanor. Like everybody has said he never lost a game he started in High school and a couple of those game were against freems and his teams.
Bottom line you could put many Qbs in OU's offense and they would suceed.

Pretty sure that's exactly the opposite of what he said.  Dude said you could plug in just about any qb in OU's offense and they will have success.  And he said that Freems doesn't possess Bradford's decision making abilities, but has about every physical gift that Sam does.  Freems put up big numbers with a really pathetic supporting cast.  I would imagine he would have even better numbers behind OU's awesome line and with their stud WRs and RBs.
