Lord, I always loved this guy.  Him or Ekeler would be my favorite under Snyder.  Too bad his head was so soft.

Now he's a DJ: http://rhinobeats.com/

"Johnno Lazetich pushed his stroller in the jogger's division in the 8K 2008 Journal Jog.  Instead of pushing an actual child, Lazetich pushed a Sony boom box with additional speakers, giving the runners and bystanders around him loud techno music to help them finish the race.  'I run to the beat of enthusiasm,' said Lazetich.  Lazetich, a former Division I football player at Kansas State, rocking a blonde Mohawk, controlled the beats from his MP3 player in his hand."  Link

And, here's a repost of a classy picture from 2006:

I think I remember him trying his hand at DJing in Aggieville.  Never heard him personally.

Pardon me for being a youngin' and for having a low KSUFBIQ, but....who?  What years did he play?
I'd much rather have a 69 year old coach than one that weighs 400+ pounds.

Badass FB from the very end of the nineties.  Crazy dude, used to drive around an old VW van with a grill in the back and a black power fist sticker on the back window.  Oh, and he rode around on his motorcycle wearing a KState football helmet with the facemask removed.  He transferred in from Oregon or Oregon St, I can't remember which one.  Anyway, dude had like a million concussions cause he just lit dudes up.  It wasn't uncommon for him to disappear for like the 2nd and 3rd quarters while he got his bearings after killing some MLB on a 3 yard gain.  One of those dudes that gets me all EMAWy thinking about.  Here's an article from late 1999 about him:

Agreed...  Even with the sports bra Johnno makes the Franzia bath look like drinking the blood from a fresh kill.

Riesling....  Not so much

You may be getting him confused with Travis Wilson.

*edit-  Found an article mentioning him, he did transfer from OSU.

While former Oregon State back Johnno Lazetich has readily emerged as the top candidate to move in at fullback,

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Rock and Johnno were two completely different types of backs.  I certainly don't remember a single person saying "lol @ lazetich", and I was actually on campus the same time as he was.  Rock was nifty with the ball, but his blocking skills were nowhere near as good.

lol. is this a serious post? there is a reason lazocheck is a loser now, and rock is making billions playing in the nfl. rock was a fantastic blocker, incredible runner, and great at checkers. just because lazocheck appealed to white hicks, doesn't make him good. the guy had 10 carriers for 16 yards in 1999. Rock gained 600 yards at 5 ypc through two seasons.

Um, fail.  All you did was expand on the first sentence of JTKSU's post.  They had different jobs to do on the field.

Lazetich was a blocking fullback, and he never carried the ball.  (Also, regardless of his skill set, he couldn't play pro ball after his infinity concussions at KSU.)  Rock was essentially a big running back -- he came to KSU after rushing for over 2,000 yards his senior year in HS.

I don't think anybody is trying to say that Rock couldn't block, (At least, I know I'm not saying that.) we're just saying he wasn't as good a blocker as Johnno was.  That's all the kid did.  I'm not sure if we ever threw a ball to him (even once) and the dude carried the ball maybe once a game.  That said and as good as Rock was/is, nobody was walking around laughing at Johnno.  That would be like people laughing at Simoneau once Buhl was playing.  Also, Rock is still holding down a job with the Skins primarily due to his skill set as a KR.  How many FBs you know that return kicks?  Rock was/is anything but the prototypical FB.  A bad mofo, yes, but certainly not a prototypical FB.
