Who are our main PF targets now that Blair's out?

Sys, since you follow KSU MBB recruiting closer than...anyone, I was hoping you'd come through.

Cassin Diggs is the only one that is listed right now. Im sure theres a few other players we're not aware of. Maybe Martavius Adams or even Patrick Patterson. I can dream.

i thought you followed bball recruiting more than me... but anyways, i haven't posted anything, 'cause i don't know anything.  it is kind of odd to go from 4 quality 4 prospects to 1 so quickly.  but that appears to be what has happened.  i certainly think it is possible that ksu only takes beasley this year.  with the 2 centers, beasley, hoskins and kent, they could afford to wait till '08 if they choose.

pope would likely be rerecruited if he qualifies, but he seems a little miffed by the lack of attention currently.  and he seems the type to hold a grudge.

diggs is a known target.  you turned up diarra, but it is hard to imagine prying him loose from drew (f*cking drew!), sutton and floyd.  beyond that?  there are still some quality bigs left, but i haven't seen ksu linked to any of them, and no one but ellis and pogue have any clear ties to ksu recruiting areas/schools/aau teams.

i haven't looked at any of the juco prospects for this year.  but if spring rolls around and huggins decides he has to have another body alongside beasley, you would have to think that there will be at least a few high major types available.

personally, i'd be happy with walker, sutton, and thornton to go w. ksu's 3 current commits.  i think ksu can wait til 08 for bigs if there isn't anyone enticing available.

forgot mcclain.  he is defininately at a ksu recruiting area.  but i haven't seen any interest, and he seems like a "true" 5 that might but heads with our current freshmen.

I would like to see Huggs get in on Tracy Smith. Hes recruited a couple players from Mt. Zion before. But, the last schooly will most likely be a JUCO big guy or 3 star HSer.

Dokish said he was a project.

update... a friend emailed today, claiming that as of today, diggs does not have an offer from ksu.

diggs may commit pretty quickly, so he likely isn't much of an option for ksu, and certainly doesn't appear to be a priority.

nice finds.  i remember thinking owens seemed a possibility last spring.  then i forgot about him.

i'll be surprised if drew or floyd doesn't get diarra.  those guys have francophone africa recruits locked up.  but at least sutton has osu in the game.

Another player you might want to keep an eye on is Freddy Asprilla who is commited to Miami. KSU had interest in him, but he backed off because of Blair ect. He is a Miami Tropics guy and plays in Florida. Martin seems to be able to get anyone down there he wants. Also, now that Blair is out of the fold, maybe Stewart is still a long shot. Most likely there are some JUCOs out there we just arent aware of yet. I havent seen any JUCO rankings as of yet, so its hard to know whos good.

scratch allen from the list, at least for 07.

http://www.parisjc.edu/index.php/sports/news/six-freshmen-join/

i saw this from lynch in july.  i like the juxtaposition of his list with his offers list.  good writing.

"My top four right now is Syracuse, Pittsburgh, Charlotte, and Georgia Tech," said Lynch. "The schools that have offered me so far are Siena, Charlotte, St. Bonaventure, and Canisius." Lynch gave us some feedback on what appeals to him in program. Proximity to home was among the desired attributes. "I like the idea of staying close to home," said Lynch.

also this mentions ksu,    http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=428&p=8&c=1&nid=1822607

these too,    http://hsnewyork.scout.com/2/562541.html        http://www.i95ballerz.com/story%20-%20tyrell%20lynch%20-%20summer%2006.html

this has nothing to do with anything, but is still good to see.  huggins should schedule them.

Does Freddy Aspirilla play for the Tropics? Hopefully he'll pull a Ballard and want to get out of his hometown.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

I didn't even notice WSU was an option.

Interesting.
