ku now has one fewer scholarship to offer.  Better try somewhere else.  Probably not gonna get an official visit, either, seeing as how ku has 8 fewer.

Meh.   In-state tuition for a year isn't too bad.

How bad is this gonna be for ku?  It really didn't sound that bad, but I could be wrong.  I know losing the schollie is bad, but how much is this gonna affect the hawks?

8 fewer?  I didn't realize that there was a limit on official visits.  Is that 4 visits in 2007 and 4 in 2008?  And is that just 1 scholarship for 2007 or 1 in both 2007 and 2008?  I haven't heard the details yet...

1 scholly in 2007, 1 in 2008, although evidently ku has the option to take them both the same year.

The official visits are 4 per year, I believe.

You can't be racist and like basketball.
Does Cole Aldrich currently have a scholarship available?

    Not A Basketball Player
I'm actually surprised that they hit basketball as hard as they did. Did they keep the L.O.I.C claim?

Yes, LOIC remains.  Football got off really, really light.  They pretty much upheld the self imposed stuff in FB.

ku basically tried to shift the blame from men's bball to football and w. bball with their self imposed penalties.  the ncaa didn't buy it.  the ncaa is great.

aldridge has a scholarship if ku wants to give him one.  ku can shift the reduction back a year to honor their offer to aldrich if they choose to.  of course it will likely be moot as someone will leave.  but if ku was unsure on reed before, it would seem less likely that they would find one for him now.
"these are no longer “games” in the commonly accepted sense of the term. these are free throw shooting contests leavened by the occasional sprint to the other end of the floor."

ku can also free a scholly by having Morningstar pay his own way.  Jeremy Case will also make a fine addition to the Ichabods next year.

No, he is a walk-on.  And unless there is a free scholarship that Huggs gives to the walk-ons (which he does if any are available) next year he will still be a walk-on...

You should stop now, moron.

Our scholarships are taken by:
Collins
Arthur
Rush
Wright
Chalmers
Giles
Kaun
Jackson
Robinson
Case
Stewart
Morningstar

thats 12 out of 13 with one open going a walk on this year.  But think what you wish.

thats not the point.  The whole post was about self being able to create scholarships should we need them.

Yep.  I have no clue, nor do I want to, who plays for the Hawktrash.  I confused the player in question with the walk-on from Bennett's former prep school.  But a question for you Hawktrash crap: "Why are you here on this forum?"  Because nobody gives a rat's ass if ku exists or not...
