We might have sucked last season in football, but at least some of our students have HFBIQ's.

Before the game, an especially vociferous group of Kansas State fans were heckling Harrell and his accomplishments.

Their comments provided some levity for his teammates as they prepared for their first conference game.

"I never had any questions for Graham," Tech running back Baron Batch said. "But a lot of the fans did. They were yelling 'system quarterback' at him. One guy was giving it to him. But it's fun to play in a system when it's a winning system like we did."

So, let's check in with Harrell and see if he's setting the world on fire yet. The Cleveland Browns invited him to their rookie minicamp, and according to Mary Cay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer, they liked Harrell. To a point.

    The staff felt Harrell, who participated in rookie camp on a tryout basis, picked up the system quickly and has great potential, the source said. However, the team let him leave town without a contract, in part because it currently has four quarterbacks on the roster: Brady Quinn, Derek Anderson, Brett Ratliff and Richard Bartel.

lol. i remember going down to the 1st row when we were down 58-21 and that's all we had left. ruffin mcneil motioned that we were crazy to think he wouldn't get drafted

If he really had 'great potential,' they'd be keeping him instead of a Brett Ratliff or Richard Bartel.

On a related-note, heard a story from a Big XII official about how whiny Harrell would be every time he'd get hit in the pocket.  Always complaining to the referee, to the point where it got kinda pathetic.

win or lose...kstater's can be the unclassiests of all schools. Still proud of that.
