I have a buddy who has one (blackberry not dingleberry) and never heard any bad things about it, nor really good. so to be honest i am really of no help, sorry for wasting your time and mine, just wanted to say dingleberry.

When my contract ran out with Sprint and I went shopping for a new phone I remember that BlackBerry option I was looking at had some extra special BlackBerry fees attached to it.  I got a Centro and I still get unlimited data and whatnot.  Not sure exactly the charges were called.

Which blackberry are you looking at?

Some carriers require the data package on the blackberry.  If you want a blackberry (great decision) just don't get the pearl.  Terrible internal memory and will dump text messages and call log daily unless you purchase a memory card.......but the phone still sucks regardless.

it's the licensing charge from RIM.  to use their software you need to pay them, I think it's $30 a month.
