The Baton Rouge, La., native earned all-region honors for the Rangers during the 2005-06 season. Thornton has drawn attention from colleges across the country and will make his first official visit of the year this weekend.
He's 6'4" 190 and is also looking at: LSU, Memphis, Mississippi State, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, USC, Tennessee and Texas A&M.
