I hope you get cancer and die, or get in a car wreck you prick.....

“I really knew from the very beginning that I never wanted to have anything to do with K-State,” Mike Rivera said with a smile.

That was the senior linebacker’s response when asked whether Kansas State ever offered him a scholarship. Rivera is a Kansas kid who went to Shawnee Mission Northwest, and he doesn’t mince words about his feelings for Saturday’s opponent.

“I never really cared for their football or their educational program,” Rivera said. “I pretty much knew from the beginning that, out of the Kansas schools, if I ever went anywhere, it would definitely be ku.”

 :jerkoff:

“I don’t have any purple anything in my wardrobe,” he said.

Not every student shares that sentiment, though. In fact, some even dare to wear Kansas State gear to class.

“It’s definitely confusing,” Rivera said. “I don’t know why you’d be on ku campus wearing a K-State shirt. That’s something that I don’t really believe in, and I don’t know why they would do it.” :ksu:

That's pretty funny actually.

What was even funnier was watching him play like our LB's the last 2 games for ku.

The loser can't even speak for himself so his daddy has to do it! Mangina doesn't even like him!!

"When Rivera was benched after a three-tackle performance in ku’s loss to South Florida, Mangino didn’t say whether Rivera had been playing hurt. That stuck with Rivera Sr.

On Wednesday afternoon, his frustration boiled over. Rivera Sr., who lives in Shawnee, was listening to sports talk radio on KCSP, 610 AM, and heard a comment that Rivera was possibly complacent after the Orange Bowl season. He picked up the phone and dialed the radio station. Rivera Sr. took up for his son for about five minutes."

“Mike can’t really speak for himself
because he has to be diplomatic and do the best thing for himself,” Rivera Sr. said.

What a gaywad!

I had heard about that, what a giant puss.  what a douche parent his dad is.

also the other comments show how absolutely crushed he must have been to not have gotten recruited by kstate.

He isn't sexy enough for our new uni's.  He would have brought the whole unit down.

He has had an Ian Campbell like year.  Its really a mystery.  His dad claims he is hurt.

He went from a potential NFL type player to getting benched in 5 games.  He was good during the YoD.  He has been bad this year.

So, when he was in school he wanted to play for a program that got spanked 64-0?

Must be a fan of the underdogs, or he knew back then he'd never have a chance to play for Snyder so he went with option 2 (not knowing Prince would be the hc when he made his decision and bring KSt8 down to uk's level).

He was barely recruited by a cellar dwelling ku.  He wouldn't have been on a KSU radar though clearly he is as good as anyone we have playing LB now.

I can't really argue with anything he said there- it's a rivalry, he's not supposed to like K-State.  I do think it's weird that he didn't "care for our football" considering we were coming off the B12 CCG and Mangino had won like 2 games the season before he committed.  maybe he is attracted to crappy football programs that feed off the bottom dwellers of the world.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

Mike Rivera was a 3 star (5.6) linebacker http://kansas.rivals.com/viewprospect.asp?Sport=1&pr_key=19853

That year Snyder took two lower ranked linebackers.

Lester Graham http://kansas.rivals.com/viewprospect.asp?Sport=1&pr_key=25108
Aaron Darks http://kansas.rivals.com/viewprospect.asp?Sport=1&pr_key=20136

EDIT:  Did Aaron ever get out of those rape charges?

Doc . . . we don't know.

Unlike kTHug, our coach kicks guys off the team for farting too loud.

The other linebacker we signed that year was Joe Mortenson http://kansas.rivals.com/viewprospect.asp?Sport=1&pr_key=21563

so.  do you agree that mike rivera sucks or will you choose to deflect and tell us more about your recruiting from 5 years ago?  fwiw, most here think that ian sucks.  :ugh:

I agree he has had a bad year (really bad compared to expectations - a la Ian Campbell).  Not sure what to make of it.  I know he was good last year.

Oh, and I am done talking about recruiting from 5 years ago.

The whole point of the thread was Rivera acts like KSU was beating down his door and he chose ku.  That is BS.  KSU extended him an offer, probably grey shirt, because Snyder wanted to make local recruits always feel welcome.  Prince has taken that philosophy, eaten it with some syrup and deposited it into his toilet in a disgusting brown curl.

He is a JoCo kid, he probably never heard of K-State growing up.

He doesn't go here. He goes to a school that hates us. Why the &@#% wouldn't he hate us?  I'm glad he does, just like I'm glad Deon has predicted a run back.

    The "other" KSU
FWIW, scout.com had the schools of interest as MU, ku and KSU - we were the only school that didn't offer a scholly... no wonder he has hard feelings! It's OK Mike, put another tampon in and go about your day... fag.

Also, I think that Ian is a product of that cross-eyed (no offense to any other cross-eyed poster) dip-$hit that is his coordinator.
