1.  Watched a lot of NU's game, and La Tech was in it, and had just completed a long pass on a drive to have put them right back in the game, but they fumbled.   It was all Nebraska after that.

2.  Does Arkansas really want to see anymore of USC .... having been outscored something like 120 to 34 the last two years by the Trojans.  Have to be impressed with USC, they went into a very hostile stadium last night in Hogville and they rolled the Hogs.   Frank Broyles was said to have described this game as the most anticipated game in Arkansas since the Hogs and the Horns hooked for a National Title implications game back in the late 60's.   I think Corn is in for a real test next weekend.

3.  Vols roll Cal ... for 3 quarters this game wasn't even close.  Vols looked like men playing boys.  The Vols had 514 yards of Total Offense against the Golden Bears.

4.  ND - GT ... I kept flipping back to this game ... the main problem for me is that the local ABC station's picture quality is so poor it's almost unwatchable on the big screen.  I think GT really choked this game away, their play calling and game management was mystifying.   Another one where you have to hand it to the visitor for going into a snake pit and winning.

5.  WV-Marshall ... I didn't watch a whole lot of this game because it was out of hand early.  You have to laugh a little at Marshall, they've wanted WV for so long, and they got them, and they got smoked.

Oregon ... if OU doesn't play a whole lot better, the Ducks will smoke them.

Texas ... ah good, but N. Texas ... we'll find out a lot more next week.   Speaking of Ohio State, they were like a race car driver shutting down the engine after one good qualifying lap, they clearly aren't wanting to show Texas anything.   Would love to be in Austin next weekend ... wow!!
