Prince's recruiting looks horrible again!!  I suspect he is ok with it though as he is planning on nabbing 20 or so more Juco players again.  This guy is systematically dismanteling the football program and worst than that, the powers at be are allowing him to.  Here is a look at the ku recruiting class....doesn't it look like what we used to see under Synder, ie a bunch of three stars with some 4 stars thrown in and has some players from Texas.

Isn't it still pretty early to be complaining about recruiting classes?  If K-State does well this year, you'll pick up quite a few guys.

As for the juco thing, has Prince said to what extent he intends to continue with the heavy Juco recruiting?  To some degree it seems to me that he has to continue, if to a lesser and lesser degree, just because of the graduation attrition you're going to have.  Especially given his recent comments about the importance of upperclassmen, it would seem that he would not want to go through the growing pains of a freshman and sophomore heavy team.

OK Cat, I'm trying to not live in the past....specifically the 75 years of pre-Synder past!  Since Synder is truly the only benchmark our program has it is inevitable we are going to see comparisons.  Besides, I was more comparing our recruiting to ku's recruiting for the upcoming year.  I make no bones about it, I'm a Prince hater and will have to be towards the front of the line to eat crow if he somehow motivates/coaches this team past 6 wins.  I just don't see it.

You don't really know much about recruiting if you think mangino is outrecruiting Prince.  Mangino's one great
"get" is a JUCO running back who raped a girl.  He had no other choices.

we're talking recruiting..not coaching. Recruiting is the art of finding players that were good in high school/JC and getting them to go to your college. Coaching is getting the guys you have to play together and develop into even better players, and thusly, forming a gameplan to win lots of football games.

This staff isn't very good at the latter.

Limestone, you would seriously take our recruiting class over ku's?  Listen I'm no ku fan, far from it, but at least I can be objective when looking at the recruits and not let the purple Koolaide cloud the obvious.  I do think ku is in for a tough seson this year with UT and OU on their schedule.  They should still go bowling though.

Stick to one subject at a time.  What does any team's 2009 recruiting class have to do with their 2008 season?  And if you want to get technical, Prince isn't even a recruiter.  He's a scout, or a better term might be an evaluator of talent.  Ron gives the nod and the AC's reel 'em in.  Let the proof be in the pudding, no one should even begin to evaluate a recruiting class until three years after they've signed.
