mjrod: Feel free to pull this or place in Aggieville, but I wanted to post in a place where I could get some traffic.

Can someone from Topeka or someone that knows Forbes Field pretty well help me on this?  I am looking to make in back to Kansas in April for the Spring Game and visit some relatives.  I'm looking to fly into Topeka and rent a car.  What rental companies are at the airport?  I've been doing some online searching and only found Hertz.

Here's the real hook, I am looking to rent the car in Topeka on Friday and then fly out of Wichita and return the car there on Wednesday or so.

At the airport, I don't think there is much of anything.  I've only been there once (to see Prince) in my life, and i've lived in Topeka for all my life.  I'll look in to it though.

Thanks Saul.  I have no idea how small Topeka's airport is...but those $69 fares from here (Vegas) to Topeka just seem too good to pass up.

Allegiant Air   http://www.allegiantair.com/ will be starting service in late March and have some specials running right now.  They currently serve Wichita and I've also flown them into Colorado Springs.  Nothing special, but they normally get you there and back in one piece.

After investigating, you are correct..it seems Hertz is the only place.  If there is another place in Topeka you would prefer to rent from, i'd be happy to give you a ride wherever, depending on the time you need picked up.

Actually, looks like a vacation for myself and the former MussCat/SoCal Cat.  I appreciate the offer.  We really have to figure out what both of us are going to do though.  Going with Hertz completely blows the savings on tickets, so it makes sense to just do a Wichita roundtrip.  Maybe we can just do Enterprise, and they could pick us up!

Ohh, and if you want to take advantage of the cheap fares out here let me know.
