It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

I'm telling you, this is not ANYTHING like the team from the beginning of conference play. You will see no more blowouts like what happened in OOC.  If we lose, it will not because these kids gave up, and it will be at the buzzer. -Rodless, before 97-70

UPDATE


O.J. Mayo just made an unexpected visit to USC, coming down from the Michael Jordan camp.
The football team chanted his name and Mayo was here about an hour, hanging out with his friend Aaron Pogue.
"It was great and exciting," Mayo said.
This was Mayo's second visit to USC. Mayo said he would announce his decision before the end of the year. He is widely expected to come to USC.
UPDATE: Mayo's actually still here, deciding to remain a little longer. He departs from LAX tonight.
UPDATE TO THE UPDATE: Mayo did not officially commit, although he's told USC athletes since July that he would become a Trojan.

That's alright.....even if he commits......we'll just have him talk to Freeman when he visits for the Louisville game....and Josh can tell him how easy it is for him to change his mind at the last second.  :D

I asked Mayo after football practice if he verbally committed. He said he had. I then asked if he had any comments. Mayo said," Nah, I'm cool right now, but you can report it." I asked him,"So, it's alright if I make it public?" He said yes.

Is the commitment legit? I have no idea. Is my reporting of the news legit, yes. It's not my job to randomly make stuff up. I cover SoCal recruiting for Scout.com, but I wasn't going to miss out on a prime opportunity to talk to the #1 hoops prospect in the country.
