What about all of the people thouroughly convinced that Meier will receive an extra year due to medical redshirt?  He may discover that he will enjoy being Freeman's backup in 2007 after he gets a little experience in that role in 2006.

I don't  know if you can give a ride to a Greyshirt at this juncture or not, I don't know if a Greyshirt even has his paperwork sent to the Clearinghouse until they're ready to enroll full time.

It says 2007 QBs, not 2006. Besides, CC just had rotator cuff surgery, so he couldn't play anywho. Come to think of it, he may not be ready in 2007 either.
